GRSC does not encourage gently scratching the seed with a sand paper or emery board to lightly score the outside of the seed as this could encourage germination. Further, it is strongly advised to avoid germination that you do not then soak the seed in a 50/50 mix of peroxide and water for 24 hours prior to placing between two dampened folded paper towels in a loose sandwich bag, kept moist for 3-5 days.
